Why we built it this way
Buying online here has a trust problem, and it is not irrational. You send money to someone you have never met, for a product you have only seen in a photograph that may not be theirs, and hope. Enough people have been burned that the sensible default is to not bother.
Two things fix that, and LiveSoko does both. A real person holds the real item on camera and answers questions about it while you watch — you can see the actual stitching, the actual shade, the actual size of the thing in someone's hand. And every order is covered by buyer protection and a returns window.

What makes it different
Most shopping does not happen while somebody is live. So every stream leaves a replay, and the moment a product was shown is clipped onto its product page — available at two in the morning, weeks later.
Ask a seller anything and the answer is published on the product. The next person wondering the same thing does not have to ask again.
Not an optional extra or a premium tier. Every order on this site is covered by buyer protection and returns.
Works on a cheap Android on a patchy connection. Nothing here needs JavaScript to read a price, follow a link or check out.
Who sells here
Mostly small businesses — a shop in a Nairobi arcade, someone importing bales, a skincare brand made in a back room in Mombasa. Every one is verified before they can list, and their record is on their shopfront: how many orders they have fulfilled, how fast they dispatch, what buyers said.
